Scare
Thea paused at her office door as a little rush of paranoia stole over her. There was a problem here. Light came through the frosted glass but she didn't remember leaving the fluorescents on. Thea tried the lock and found it set, but as she turned the handle she heard the springs of her desk chair creak. Someone crossed toward the door.
She was looking for the nearest security phone when the door opened and Boris Urquhart poked his head out. "Only me." Thea backed up against the wall, staring at the ceiling.
"Didn't mean to scare you," he apologized. "The door was locked so I came on in."
She turned, closed her eyes and kicked him in the shin.
"Shithead."
